NECA SDCC Exclusives Part 1

NECA has started to announce its SDCC exclusives that will be available at the convention at the end of next month. They have also announced that they will be available at the end of this month on the NECA store.

They are the Prey Ultimate Feal Camo Reveal Predator and the Flash Gordon Wood Beast Challenge Flash Gordon. A few more SDCC exclusives are expected but I don’t know what they are yet, though I expect that they will be revealed soon.

I really dig the Camo Reveal Feral Predator figure it looks fantastic! This figure is from the scene where the Feral Predator attacks the trappers and comes with pretty much everything he needs, the only accessory that’s missing is his shield which he uses to kill some of the trappers. The bear trap looks fantastic, as do the bombs, flintlock pistol, and hatchet. The sculpt looks fantastic in translucent plastic, and how they can have the skull mask removable is awesome!

I haven’t seen Flash Gordon in many years, so I don’t remember this scene at all, but I really do like this Flash Gordon release is an SDCC exclusive so it doesn’t take a new character’s spot. This figure is a re-use of the previously released Flash Gordon figure that came in Wave 1 (hopefully we’ll see Wave 2 at SDCC next month!) With a different vest and different accessories. The new parts are the tree stump, Wood Beast, and Prince Barin’s Sword & Whip.

What I really like is that some of the accessories and the packaging hint at Timothy Dalton’s Prince Barin figure and I cannot wait to see that as the likenesses on the Flash Gordon figures have been incredible so far. They haven’t announced how much they’ll cost yet, but you’ll have to pay shipping for them and I hope they aren’t too expensive to ship to the UK. If you miss them and they sell out, they may have them available online during SDCC weekend for those who can’t attend.
